The conference and subsequent local and international collaboration is critical for the development of a competitive South Africa that can be a major player in the global market. It is important that South Africa makes use of its limited resources, by sharing and working with local and international partners. Mechatronics, Robotics and Advanced Manufacturing are also a critical technology for the development of South Africa’s manufacturing and automation industries.

The conference will receive abstracts for the conference as well as full papers in a single review step. Once these have been reviewed, accepted papers will then require authors to submit full camera ready papers. These will then be reviewed and only accepted papers, (with corrections, if required); will be presented and published in the proceedings. The proceedings of the conference will get an ISBN number
